Writer’s Block!

I don’t know what it is, but I’ve been having trouble finding things to talk about lately. Sure, I can talk about mental health (again), especially mental health awareness in my ancestral community (especially after the California shootings…survivors must be going through PTSD), but I’m not sure if I’m enough of an expert other than talking about it based on my personal experiences. I could also talk about the private school application process, and going through it as a parent (opposed to a child). However, I don’t want to sound like a snob. Wait, I guess now that the cat’s out the bag (if you didn’t already know, anyway), you readers can judge me how you want. I don’t care. Or maybe kids’ menus (but I think I’ve talked about that enough on Cynthia Talks Life). I really don’t know what to write these days!

Maybe I’ll stick with things that I find difficult to elaborate on my podcast (more on diversity, perhaps? Or is it better FOR the podcast? I’m always afraid of saying something wrong, and then the world cancelling me before I COULD be cancelled), especially now that what I record is mostly improvised – I used to read off a script, which really didn’t seem too natural. And I ended up doing too many takes. I’ve found that going in with an idea, and then just ranting on about it just works…better. Maybe even on how I’d love to expand my listenership. I mean, I am part of social media groups dedicated to various topics, including other podcasts I listen to as well as interests. But it’s also not good group etiquette to self-promote, so what’s a gal to do? If anyone has ideas of where and how to promote, that would be great.
