What’s the Difference: Episodes 6 and 7

It looks like I didn’t post episode 6, which went live last month. Our show has increased the number of subscribers and viewers and we are quite happy about that! We’re coming along and getting more and more attention – two of our co-hosts were interviewed by Accessible Media’s AMI This Week recently!

Episode 6: Disability and Unemployment:

People with disabilities often have employment issues, either due to explicit discrimination or because the type of work is not accommodating (this isn’t necessarily explicit. It’s just that they companies/employers don’t “think” about it. For example, requiring that an event planner stand for the duration of a conference, despite them tiring out easily).

Episode 7: Mobility

It’s not just people who require wheelchairs who have trouble getting around. Sometimes, people with invisible disabilities – whether it be vision loss or breathing issues – have difficulty as well. And public transit is very guilty of this! Elevators are sometimes non-existent (!!!!!) and even escalators are constantly under construction. And it isn’t just people with disabilities – parents/caregivers with young children often have trouble as well. Strollers, y’all!! STROLLERS!!!
